25, 2002--Windswept Software announces all of its popular Add-Ons for ACT!
(including PhotoAct, ACTAccess, ActiveACT, ACTMail, and ShellACT) are fully compatible with
the new ACT! 6.0. Working closely with the ACT! team during the development of
ACT! 6.0, Windswept's technology was directly incorporated into ACT! as the
Library Tab, a key component of this newest version. Each Windswept Add-On is
based on this same technology, thus improving the suite of Add-Ons as a result
of this partnership.
New ACT! Mapping Product
In addition, Windswept has entered into a strategic
relationship with eSite, Inc. and
Microsoft to develop a new Add-On product called ACTMap. ACTMap embeds
Microsoft's MapPoint desktop mapping software within ACT!—seamlessly linking
key data elements to provide a feature rich and unique desktop GIS
(Geographical Information System) based on individual ACT! databases. ACTMap
gives users the freedom to quickly produce theme maps, query contact data
spatially, or simply locate sales contacts within a given vicinity and is
scheduled to be released in September.
